LONG BEACH, Calif., Aug. 2, 2000 — California-based advertising, marketing, and public relations company Mindset today announced that they will donate over $25,000 in PR services to worthy non-profit and charitable causes. Qualifying organizations may now apply for an opportunity to receive both online marketing and traditional public relations services such as press release writing and distribution, all at no cost.
Worthy causes will be selected based on need and legitimate non-profit and charitable status with preference given to charities helping the terminally ill (such as Dream Foundation), battered women recovery, abandoned/runaway children solution centers (such as Children of the Night), abused animal rescue groups (such as PAWS), and similar groups which find solutions for real-life tragedies. Some preference will be given to California-based charities, but all qualifying organizations are encouraged to apply.
“With the infusion of money into the new economy, our business has benefitted greatly from working with dot-com start-ups and small business ventures,” said Mindset President and founder Christopher Simmons. “We’ve found that many worthwhile charities and non-profit groups have embraced the World Wide Web, but have not been able to afford the expertise to market their Web presence effectively. We hope to give back to these worthy causes which can benefit from our 17 years expertise in the PR and marketing industry.”
“Rather than simply write some checks to contribute to these kinds of organizations, we enlisted commitments from some of our associate editors, staff, and working journalists to work ‘pro bono’ or at a reduced rate for this program. This allowed us to increase by 500% the value of our original intended contribution, while helping — we hope — to raise awareness for notable and worthwhile charitable organizations.”
Mindset will provide a minimum of $2,500 and up to $5,000 in PR and marketing services to as many as 10 different qualifying organizations. Interested parties must apply no later than October 31, 2000. Selection of qualifying organizations will begin immediately starting August 2, 2000 and decisions will be made solely by Mindset staff. There is no cost or obligation to apply, and applicant privacy is fully protected.
Organizations may apply online using a simple form, which takes no more than five minutes to complete, at: https://www.send2press.com/non-profit/ .
Actual promotion services will be provided through the Mindset Netwire, a division of Mindset.
